White Mountains National Forest Looking For Artist-In-Residence
CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) -- Want to spend your summer capturing the beauty of New Hampshire's White Mountains?
For the sixth-straight year, the White Mountain National Forest and the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire are seeking an artist-in-residence.
The three-week residency is offered between July and September. Artists of all types are welcome to apply – last year's resident was a composer and musician.
The chosen artist will be provided living accommodations in the mountains and can be reimbursed for travel expenses and supplies.
"Artists have been inspired by the beauty of the White Mountains for hundreds of years," said White Mountain National Forest Supervisor Tom Wagner. "The program helps us broaden the ways in which we experience and communicate the value of the national forest."
Applicants are asked to explain what they hope to accomplish via the residency. The application deadline in March 15.
