Whirlpool Microwaves Recalled Due To Fire Hazard

BOSTON (CBS) – Several Whirlpool microwave models have been recalled due to concerns they could spark a fire.

The Whirlpool hood microwaves were sold at several stores including Best Buy.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, "Internal arcing during use can ignite an internal plastic component, posing a fire hazard."

Whirlpool has received five reports including one home fire.

Experts say unplug the microwave and contact Whirlpool.
