WBZ-TV & WBZ NewsRadio 1030 Accept Peabody Award In NYC
BOSTON (CBS) – CBS Boston's WBZ-TV and WBZ NewsRadio 1030 received a prestigious Peabody Award for Overall Excellence Monday, for their coverage of the Boston Marathon bombings and the week-long manhunt that followed.

In announcing the award last month, the judges noted, "they were just everywhere with non-sensational coverage," saying, "they helped so many people: the police, victims…everybody."
The Peabody Awards are given each year by the University of Georgia to "recognize stories that matter."
