Vigil To Be Held For 2 Bedford, NH Girls Shot To Death By Mother

BEDFORD, N.H. (AP) — A candlelight vigil is going to be held for two girls who were shot to death by their mother in Bedford, New Hampshire.

The vigil for 8-year-old Katherine and 6-year-old Elizabeth Obukhov is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday at the steps and parking lot of the Bedford Presbyterian Church.

The event is featuring music and remarks from community members and friends of the girls, known as Katy and Lizzy. The two attended Riddle Brook Elementary School. Donations are being accepted for a memorial.

The attorney general's office said 34-year-old Nina Obukhov shot her daughters in the head before killing herself in their home March 28.
