VT Police: Man Asleep In Damaged Car Didn't Know How He Lost A Tire
GRAND ISLE, Vt. (AP) — Vermont state police say a man found asleep in his damaged car told them he couldn't remember where or when he lost one of his tires.
Authorities say 42-year-old Nathan Sibley, of St. Albans, was found just before 5 a.m. Saturday in front of A&B Beverage in Grand Isle.
Police say after they woke him up, Sibley told them he didn't know how his car got damaged or where he'd lost the tire.
Sibley was charged with driving under the influence. Police say his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
Sibley is due to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court on July 7. A phone listed to Sibley is no longer in service and it was not immediately known if he has a lawyer.
