Police Continue Investigation Into Princeton Murder

PRINCETON (CBS) – Police spent much of the day searching the area where a woman was found murdered in Princeton earlier this week.

Police were in the area of Brooks Station Road on Thursday, continuing to search for clues into the murder of Vanessa Marcotte.

The Worcester District Attorney's held a press conference Thursday afternoon, saying they have determined Marcotte's killer was a man who likely suffered injuries during a struggle.

The New York City woman disappeared Sunday while on a jog. Marcotte, a Boston University graduate and an account executive at Google, was visiting her mother in Massachusetts when she went missing.

Since Marcotte's death, police have received hundreds of tips, but none have led to the arrest of her killer.

A phone line has been set up for anyone with information into Marcotte's murder.

Tips can be called into (508) 453-7589.
