Tyler Seguin Questionable Vs. Bruins Due To Flu
BOSTON (CBS) -- More than 17,000 fans are expected to trudge through the snow Tuesday night to watch the Bruins play the Stars, but they may not get to see Tyler Seguin.
The Stars' leading scorer is questionable to play in the game, due to the flu.
Seguin showed up to the TD Garden for the team's morning skate on Tuesday, but he was sent back to his hotel for rest.
The 23-year-old has scored 29 goals and added 30 assists this year, putting him in a three-way tie for the NHL lead in points with 59 (Patrick Kane, Jakub Voracek). Seguin ranks third in the NHL in goals, four behind Rick Nash and Alex Ovechkin. He's on pace to register 91 points, which would top his career high, set last year at 84.
Seguin, who was traded by the Bruins to the Stars in the summer of 2013, returned to the TD Garden for the first time as a visitor on Nov. 5, 2013. Seguin scored in the shootout that night to help the Stars to a victory. Seguin registered two assists in his second game against Boston later that season, a 4-2 Bruins victory. Seguin recorded no goals or assists in the Bruins-Stars meeting in Dallas in January of this season.
