2 killed, including fourth grade teacher, in Webster wrong-way crash on Route 395
WEBSTER - Police say two people, including a fourth grade teacher, were killed in a wrong-way crash on Route 395 South in Webster Saturday night.
Police were called to the scene at 10:17 p.m., and patrols in the area responded within moments.
Police said Jordan Pimentel, 31, of Auburn was driving a GMC Sierra north on the southbound side of the road.
Kayla Morey, 35, of Dayville, Conn. was driving south when police said Pimentel slammed into her head-on.
Both drivers were declared dead at the scene of the crash.
Morey was a fourth grade teacher at Putnam Elementary School in Connecticut.
"Miss Morey was a gifted and talented teacher who deeply cared for her students. She has been a teacher in Putnam since 2012 and touched the lives of many students and colleagues. Her gifts to us will live on for a long time," Superintendent of Schools Steve Rioux said in a statement.
Massachusetts State Police said the accident is still under investigation.
