Tufts Veterinary In Grafton Has Stopped Taking In New 'Critical Care' Animals

GRAFTON (CBS) -- The Foster Hospital for Small Animals at Tufts University in Grafton is not taking new animals in their critical care unit, due to the number of animals already hospitalized.

The change is effective immediately, according to a Facebook post from last week.

"If your pet is having an immediate life-threatening emergency, and we are the closest facility, please call 508-839-5395 prior to presenting," they wrote. "We are unable to accommodate any other cases at this time."

The hospital is still open. They said they are reevaluating the decision daily.
