'He's The Greatest': Trump Supporters Camp Out In Snow Before President's Manchester, NH Rally

MANCHESTER, N.H. (CBS) – Supporters of President Donald Trump pitched tents and braved the snow nearly a full day before a "Keep America Great" rally in Manchester, New Hampshire. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence were welcomed by a packed house at SNHU Arena Monday night on the eve of the New Hampshire primary.

"We have more in this arena and outside of this arena than all of the other candidates, meaning the democrats, put together," President Trump said.

WBZ-TV's Nick Giovanni spoke with supporters in "Women For Trump" gear who made their way up from Massachusetts and were in line before 5 a.m.

"He's the greatest," Debra Smith from Rawley said.

Smith has been to Trump rallies before, but this is the first time she's seen him as president. The rally comes a week after the Senate acquitted Trump on two articles of impeachment.

"We knew he'd be acquitted – best week ever!" Smith said. "We have to come and celebrate with him."

While supporters cheered the president inside, hundreds of people had to watch outside, in the cold after the arena hit capacity. Cherie Paine drove from Amesbury, Massachusetts. "Yeah too full. It's sad," Paine said.

"I could not get in, even though I had a ticket," said Lori Esposito, who drove up from Rhode Island. "We own a construction company and it's just never been so great."

Keep America great was the theme of the rally, with the president urging supporters to keep him in office.

"With your help on November 3, we are going to defeat the radical, socialist, democrats. We are going to win New Hampshire in a landslide," Trump said.
