Trial Starts For Man Charged In 2010 Murder Of Nantucket Woman

BARNSTABLE (AP) — Jury selection is underway in the trial of a man charged with fatally shooting the mother of his unborn child on Cape Cod.

The Cape Cod Times reports 12 jurors were picked Monday for the trial of 36-year-old Quoizel Wilson in Barnstable Superior Court. Jury selection continues Wednesday.

Prosecutors say Wilson shot and killed 23-year-old Trudie Hall in July 2010. Hall, who lived on Nantucket, was reported missing by her family when she didn't return home from a trip to Cape Cod. Her body was found in April 2012 by a man walking his dog in a wooded area.

Wilson, who lived on Cape Cod at the time Hall disappeared, was questioned afterward but wasn't immediately arrested. He has pleaded not guilty to murder.

His attorney says Wilson denies involvement in Hall's death.
