2 Drivers Hurt In Tractor-Trailer Crash On I-93 In Salem, NH
SALEM, N.H. (CBS/AP) — A section of southbound Interstate 93 in Salem, New Hampshire, has re-opened following a car-truck collision that injured both drivers.
State police say a car driven by 21-year-old Matthew Torbin of Derry was entering the highway from the Exit 2 on-ramp in Salem at about 10:50 a.m. Monday. Police said the car impacted the passenger side of a flatbed truck operated by 57-year-old John Pothier of North Billerica, Massachusetts. Pothier lost control of the truck and rolled over across four lanes.
Police said Torbin suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Pothier was treated for a minor head injury. They were taken to Lawrence General Hospital.
The interstate in this area was closed for about two hours and traffic was rerouted off of Exit 2.
