MIDDELBORO (CBS) -- The Dorchester driver who police say struck and critically injured a tow truck operator helping someone on I-495 in Middleboro is now facing charges.
The charges against David Mascarenhas, 29, include failure to change lane for an emergency vehicle, speeding and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Massachusetts State Police say Mascarenhas hit 33-year-old Jonathan Tetreault, of Wareham, as he assisted a disabled motor vehicle early Sunday morning.
Tetreault was critically injured and was in stable condition at Rhode Island Hospital Wednesday night.
