Tom Brady Hits Practice Field At Patriots OTAs

BOSTON (CBS) -- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady hit the field on Friday as the team continued their organized team activities at Gillette Stadium.

Brady, who has been silent since the NFL suspended him for four games for the recent DeflateGate controversy, was focused as he took part in numerous drills with his fellow quarterbacks, receivers and running backs on Friday morning. He was not made available to reporters after the workout ended.

The Patriots will now break for the weekend before continuing OTAs on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week. The team will also host workouts from June 8-9 and June 11-12.

The weekend will be busy for Brady as well, as the QB will host his annual charity football game at Harvard Stadium on Friday night. The event kicks off his Best Buddies Challenge Weekend, which includes a charity walk, run and ride to Hyannis Port to benefit Best Buddies International on Saturday. Brady, a Best Buddies Global Ambassador, will once again serve as Honorary Co-Chair for the weekend's event.

It all starts Friday night, as Brady will be playing some touch football with some lucky Best Buddies in addition to teammates Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and many notable celebrities. 98.5 The Sports Hub's Scott Zolak will also be at the event and play in the game.

Brady's silence will likely continue, as it's unlikely he will speak after the event. The Patriots quarterback and the NFL Players Association have appealed the NFL's suspension of Brady, but no date has been set for that hearing.
