Keefer Madness On The Jamaican Bobsled Team
BOSTON (CBS) - The Winter Olympics are right around the corner, so there will be no shortage of feel-good stories as we approach the opening ceremonies.
On the latest edition of Keefer Madness, Rich Keefe brings to you a feel-good story surrounding the Jamaican Bobsled team that qualified to compete in this year's games in Sochi.
The movie Cool Runnings starring the late, great John Candy documented the real life story of the 1988 Jamaican bobsled team that appeared in the Calgary games, and after '88 the Jamaicans were regular contestants in the Winter Olympics bobsled competition.
However, after failing to qualify in 2006 and 2010, the Jamaicans finally got over the hump and qualified for Sochi - but they were pressed for cash.
When news got out that the Jamaicans couldn't afford the trip a campaign was started to raise the funds, with one donor in particular stepping up big.
