Suspect charged with stabbing man several times inside Tewksbury home
TEWKSBURY - A 70-year-old Tewksbury man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man at a home on Woodland Drive Tuesday night. Police said Ricky Carl Stanichuk is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Police were called to the home for a report of an altercation at 11:16 p.m. A 47-year-old man was found with several stab wounds to his neck and arms.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated and is expected to survive.
A 44-year-old Tewksbury woman was treated at the scene and declined transport to a hospital.
Stanichuk was ordered held without bail at an arraignment Wednesday.
