'Kill Cops' Written At Tewksbury Skateboard Park
TEWKSBURY (CBS) – Police are looking to find the person who wrote "Kill Cops" at a Tewksbury skateboard park.
Police shared a photograph of the graffiti which they discovered on Wednesday, and asking anyone with information to call them.
The violent message was written with red marker on a skateboard ramp.
With the increased violence and threats against police across the nation, officers are taking the incident seriously.
"Yes, it could be a prank, but what happens if it's real?" Tewskbury Deputy Chief John Voto. "We've notified police officers, we've put out roll call to be more vigilant and to make sure everyone's watching for any little details that could lead to something big."
Jonathan Whitten, a parent who brings his son to the area's basketball courts, says he's concerned.
"I think it's horrible, I mean, it's ridiculous, this is where all the kids play and having a little one, I don't want any of that here," Whitten said. "Nowadays, you can't take it lightly, especially with what's going on all over the country, really."
