Teenage Girl Wounded In Jamaica Plain Shooting

BOSTON (CBS) – Police swarmed a Jamaica Plain neighborhood Tuesday afternoon after a teenage girl was shot. It happened on Centre Street by the busy Jackson Square MBTA stop near Columbus Ave.

Sources tell the I-Team the victim is a teenager who was originally in critical condition but has improved.

Commissioner William Gross is outraged. "Enough is enough folks," Gross said. "You have a young woman shot in broad daylight. We as a society should say that's enough."

The victim is expected to survive her injuries.
