Taunton School Placed On Lockdown After Nearby Shooting
TAUNTON (CBS) -- A private school in Taunton was placed on lockdown after a shooting at a nearby park Tuesday afternoon.
Taunton police said there was a shooting at Hopewell Park at about 1:30 p.m. Coyle and Cassidy High School was placed on lockdown following the shooting.
Police say a 16-year-old boy was shot at least three times by a 17-year-old suspect, who is now in custody.
A medflight was called to the scene of the shooting for the victim.
Police say the shooting was not random.
There was no additional information about the victim immediately available.
