Springfield Man Arrested With $300,000 In Heroin, Cocaine

BOSTON (AP) — A Springfield man has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking after law enforcement officers seized more than 10 pounds of pure cocaine and 2,700 bags of heroin from his home.

Jason Arias was charged with cocaine trafficking, heroin trafficking and weapons charges. The 31-year-old was arrested Friday and held without bail.

Springfield Police say the street value of the drugs is more than $300,000. They say they also seized marijuana, handguns, drug paraphernalia and $58,000 in cash during the raid.

Police say Arias was selling cocaine and heroin from his house in Springfield. They obtained a search warrant after a lengthy investigation.
