Spirit Airlines suspending service to and from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in May
MANCHESTER, N.H. - Spirit Airlines is suspending service to and from New Hampshire this spring.
The budget airline said it will stop flying in and out of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport on May 8. Customers with flights booked with Spirit after that date should get a refund.
Spirit said it hopes to return to Manchester with seasonal service next winter.
"We are suspending service at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) effective May 8, 2024, due to ongoing operational constraints related to Pratt & Whitney GTF engine availability and seasonal demand for our MHT flights. This decision reflects our continuing efforts to make necessary strategic shifts to enable Spirit to compete effectively in the current environment. We apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience, and those with reservations for May 8 or later will be offered a refund. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is a great partner, and we look forward to returning with seasonal service next winter," said Spirit Airlines in a statement.
