Dogs Saved From South Korean Meat Farm Brought To New Hampshire

STRATHAM, N.H. (CBS) – Looking to adopt a pet? Five dogs will soon be up for adoption in New Hampshire after they were rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea.

The dogs were part of 250 dogs and puppies that were set to be slaughtered in Wonju, South Korea, according to the New Hampshire SPCA. They were rescued by the Humane Society International earlier this year, and the farm was shut down.

NHSPCA workers are now preparing the dogs to acclimate to living in homes, and they will eventually be put up for adoption.

"They are dogs in need and we wanted to be here to help them find the life as a beloved companion just as we would for any dog in need," NHSPCA executive director Lisa Dennison said.

For adoption information, email the NHSPCA at adopt@nhspaca.org
