Substitute Teacher Charged With Inviting Students To Smoke Marijuana

SOMERSWORTH, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire substitute teacher was arrested after police say she provided a vaping device to students and invited them to smoke marijuana.

Elisha Mahar, 20, of Rochester, N.H., is charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation began in October when Mahar was employed as a substitute teacher at Somersworth Middle School.

Mahar was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and is next scheduled to appear in court on December 26.
