6 Injured In 3-Car Crash In Chelmsford

CHELMSFORD (CBS) – Eight people, including a baby were transported to the hospital after a three-car crash in Chelmsford Monday afternoon.

The crash happened outside the Princeton Station restaurant and function hall at about 4:30 p.m.

One of the vehicles, a Nissan Altima, came to rest against the restaurant.

According to police, a woman operating a Honda Accord attempted to make a left turn into the Princeton Station parking lot and failed to yield to oncoming traffic, causing a man driving the Nissan in the opposite direction to hit the rear of the Accord.

The Honda spun out and struck a Subaru Legacy with a mother and child inside.

Six passengers from the Nissan were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The mother and child in the Subaru were also transported by ambulance to a local hospital out of precaution.

There was no damage to the building and no serious injuries to any of the passengers.

Police say the operator of the Honda Accord will likely be cited for failing to yield when making a turn.
