Silver City Galleria Mall In Taunton To Be Demolished Next Month

TAUNTON (CBS) - If you drive down Route 24 in Taunton there's a sign warning you traffic may be backed up because of the mall.

Those traffic jams are long gone and soon the mall will be too.

Taunton Mayor Shaunna O'Connell told WBZ-TV the Silver City Galleria will be demolished next month.

It opened back in 1992 but lost its big anchor stores over the past decade.
