Somerville McDonalds, Liquor Store Trade Jokes Over Marquee Signs

SOMERVILLE (CBS) -- The McDonald's and Sav-Mor Liquors on McGrath Highway have been feuding via their large roadside signs for the past few weeks.

On May 9, in response to the sign of the McDonald's across the street advertising two Egg McMuffins for $5, Sav-Mor posted an "offer" of their own:

McDonald's hit back, and the feud was on.

Sav-Mor posted a sign last week saying they "always wanted an arch enemy."

Meanwhile, Sav-Mor's other locations have been feeling left out.

Sav-Mor has been known for their funny marquee signs for some time, often posting them on their Twitter and Facebook pages.
