Fire Tears Through Shrewsbury Home

SHREWSBURY (CBS) -- Firefighters responded to a blaze at a home on Shady Lane Sunday morning.

Shrewsbury firefighters received a call around 11:21 from the home's owner about a fire in an upstairs bedroom.

All of the residents were able to get out safely before the fire department arrived.

The Shrewsbury Fire Department said the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, and that there were no injuries. The department said damages were estimated at about $75,000.

The Northborough Fire Department assisted.
