Man Charged In Sharon Road Rage Incident

SHARON (CBS) -- A man is facing several charges after he allegedly attacked a man in front of his children during a road rage incident in Sharon on June 12.

On Saturday, Sharon Police announced on Facebook that Alexander Nguyen, 21, of Sharon, has been charged with assault and battery causing serious bodily injury, threats to kill, disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace.

The victim, who asked to be called by his first name, Michael, told WBZ-TV the attack happened in the middle of the afternoon.

Michael says a Black Acura was tailgating him, with the driver honking his horn because he was going the 40-mile-per-hour speed limit.

After pulling over to let the tailgater drive by, Nguyen allegedly pulled up next to Michael and began swearing at him before he sped off.

While driving to the police station to report the incident, Michael says Nguyen came back so he pulled over, got out of the car to talk some sense into the upset driver and that's when he punched Michael more than 20 times until he became unconscious.

Nguyen is being held on bail, and he is scheduled to appear in Sharon District Court on Monday.
