Seekonk PD: Locker Room Camera May Not Be Isolated Incident
SEEKONK (CBS) - Seekonk police are seeking a criminal complaint against a 55-year-old Rhode Island man, alleging he placed a secret camera inside a Planet Fitness women's locker room in Seekonk.
Officials have asked a court to charge Mark McVay, of Bristol, Rhode Island, with two misdemeanor charges of photo, videotaping and electronic surveillance, along with attempt to commit a crime.
Last week, a camera was discovered in the women's locker room at the health club on Taunton Avenue.
Police said the camera actually captured the suspect as he placed it in the room.
McVay is a member at the gym. However, police noted that the incident may not be isolated.
An arraignment date has not yet been set.
