1 Dead, 1 Injured In Roxbury Shooting

ROXBURY (CBS) -- A man in his 30s was shot and killed and another man was wounded late Sunday night.

The two men were shot near Mount Pleasant Avenue in Roxbury around 11:40 p.m.

The man in his 30s was pronounced dead, while the other victim, a man believed to be in his 40s, has non-life-threatening injuries.

About two dozen evidence markers were placed on the street as Boston Police worked the scene overnight.

A single red candle burned on the sidewalk in the spot where the man was killed--directly across the street from a playground.

One woman visiting the scene Monday morning screamed at neighbors, then stopped to touch a spot of dried blood on the pavement.

"It ain't right, bro, it ain't right," she said through tears.

There have been no arrests.
