3 Wounded In Roxbury Shooting

ROXBURY (CBS) – Three people were shot in Roxbury early Monday afternoon, police said.

It happened at the Academy Homes apartment complex on Academy Terrace. Police say two women and a man were sitting in their car when they were shot.

"Clearly looks like the three were targeted, the suspect walked up to the vehicle," Boston Police Commission William Evans told WBZ-TV.

The shooter then drove away in a white pickup truck, Evans said.

Kiara Ramos lives right next door and was standing outside not far from the shooting. She has a five-year-old son who was in daycare.

"Scary if my son was outside playing, it would've been devastating" Ramos said.

She said she knows the man who was shot.

"He was always nice to me, gave me high fives and hugs," said Ramos.

The victims were rushed to nearby hospitals. Two of the victims are in critical condition.
