Roche: Brady Is Timeless, Dobson's Bandwagon Growing And More Observations From Pats Camp

FOXBORO (CBS) -- As we hit practice number five at Patriots training camp, here are four observations through the first four practices of 2015.

1. Tom Brady appears to be ageless.

Watching No. 12 go from drill to drill has been and will continue to be a pleasure. Yes, he makes the occasional bad throw but he's still more accurate than 99 percent of the quarterbacks out there. I also love his undying passion for what he does. He gets angry at his offense if they're underperforming and he trash talks with his defense whenever he can. DeflateGate hasn't affected him on the field. At 38, Brady shows no sign of slowing down.

2. Count me in as far as the Aaron Dobson bandwagon goes.

He's been limited the past two seasons (especially last year, when he appeared in four games and had three total receptions), but he looks big, strong, and quick early in camp. Remember that we usually see one or two players jump out each preseason (Brian Tyms, Malcolm Butler) and this year it could be Dobson. I also like that he's been part of side work with Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman and Scott Chandler.

3. Watch for No. 9 when you attend camp or watch preseason games.

A late offseason signee, Tarell Brown looks like he may be able to help the questionable Patriots secondary. The former 2007 fifth -round draft pick of the 49ers has looked solid so far making several nice plays. The 30-year-old played with Oakland last season. I'm curious to see what he has as camp/preseason evolves.

4. Training Camp is worth the trip.

Lastly, if you can find the time, try to make one of these training camp practices. It's the only chance the fans (and media) get to watch a Patriots practice from start to finish. Arrive early to get a good seat. It's a chance to see the QBs get their work in or watch the linemen battle it out. You also get your occasional Bill Belichick barking at players ("Go...go....line up and Go!" as he watched players standing around waiting for a drill to start).

Enjoy camp and don't forget to tune in to our preseason broadcasts on WBZ Channel 4 starting Aug. 13, when the Pats host Green Bay at Gillette Stadium.
