Driver Accused Of Pointing Replica Gun In I-93 Road Rage Incident
MEDFORD (CBS) – A driver is facing charges after police said he used a replica gun to threaten another driver in a road rage incident on Interstate 93.
Gary Pimental, 20, of Charlestown, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
Investigators say he was driving a Honda Accord on the ramp from 93 north to Mystic Avenue in Somerville Wednesday afternoon when he got into a confrontation with another driver.
That driver claims Pimental pointed a gun at her. She called 911 and followed Pimental until a Medford Police officer stopped him.
Police say Pimental had a "replica firearm with the orange tip painted black."
He was arrested and taken to the State Police Barracks in Medford.
Pimental will be arraigned Thursday in Somerville District Court.
