Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 9 RB Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

BOSTON (CBS) - Every night on 98.5 The Sports Hub's, Rich Keefe provides his expert fantasy football advice in a segment he calls the "Fantasy Brief."

On Thursday night, Keefe gave two running backs he likes and two running backs he doesn't.

Start 'Em

Ahmad Bradshaw

"Ahmad Bradshaw of the Indianapolis Colts has been awesome all year. He's become a must-start. I like him going up against his former team on Monday night against the Giants, a little added motivation. The Giants are terrible against the run. They've allowed a ton of points to opposing running backs this year. Bradshaw is coming off a great game and this is the Colts' last game before their bye, so I think he has a monster game."

Ronnie Hillman

"He's been limited in practice all week with a shoulder injury. Montee Ball has missed practice the last two days. You might be concerned about Hillman if Ball comes back, but it doesn't look like it this week. Hillman had over 100 yards last week but didn't get in the endzone. Week before that he had two touchdowns against the 49ers. The week before that he also had 100 yards, so since becoming the starter he's had 100 yards two out of the three times. I think he'll be very good against the Patriots, who maybe don't want Peyton Manning to throw it a ton."

Sit 'Em

Tre Mason

"The Rams are playing against San Francisco this week. It's not that I don't like Tre Mason, it's just that I don't like the committee they have there in the backfield in St. Louis. Zac Stacy is still getting carries. Benny Cunningham has become their pass catching back. Two weeks ago Tre Mason was great, last week he didn't do much, and this week I have no faith he'll get the ball enough. In Week 7 he had 18 carries. In Week 8 he had seven, so it's just too tough to predict."

Branden Oliver

"Branden Oliver in San Diego was really a house of fire when he came on the scene -- he might be the best rookie running back to this point. Ryan Mathews goes down, Danny Woodhead goes down, Donald Brown goes down. This guy Oliver comes in, and he's an animal. He had back-to-back 100 yard games in Week 5 and 6, but the last two weeks he's stayed out of the end zone and his yards per carry is way down. He's getting the carries, so he's not an absolute sit. If you have nobody else then you have to use him. They're taking on Miami, who's kind of in the middle of the pack defending running backs. There's that, plus the off-chance that Donald Brown or Ryan Mathews returns."
