Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 3 RB Start 'Em, Sit 'Em
BOSTON (CBS) - Thursday night's game is in the books, as the Falcons handed the Buccaneers a 56-14 loss.
Now the focus shifts to this weekend on who to start and who to sit.
Rich Keefe is here to help you out with that.
Every night of the football season on 98.5 The Sports Hub's The Adam Jones Show, Keefe provides his expert fantasy advice.
On Thursday night, Keefe gives you two running backs he likes this weekend, and two running backs you should leave on your bench.
Start 'Em
Saints RB Khiry Robinson: "He's got a very favorable matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, who the Patriots saw first hand as they gave up over 100 yards on the ground to Stevan Ridley. It's tricky with the Mark Ingram injury because they do have Pierre Thomas there, but this has the feeling very much like the Patriots game. I could see Drew Brees and Jimmy Graham passing all over them and getting a big lead, then maybe feed the rock to Khiry Robinson taking over that Ingram role. I think he'll get a bunch of carries. I'm rolling the dice with Khiry Robinson for the Saints at home."
Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw: "He's coming off a great week and this may seem sort of obvious, but technically he's still the backup: Colts running back Ahmad Bradshaw. He was huge last week. They ran all over the place against Philly. He and Trent Richardson both had good weeks. Bradshaw had over 20 points. Did a lot of catching out of the backfield too. The Colts are at Jacksonville, and they just gave up a ton of yards. Bradshaw is the more dynamic player than Richardson. Keep him in your lineup until he gets hurt."
Sit 'Em
Broncos RB Montee Ball: "I could be biased because I've never really liked Montee Ball, but they're going into Seattle. The last time these two teams squared off was in the Super Bowl, a neutral site game, and Denver had no idea what was going on. Montee Ball in particular had a terrible game. I just don't like him. I don't really like anybody in Seattle. DeMaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas you're going to play. Everybody else I don't really care for. I think Seattle is going to be really motivated this week after losing to the Chargers."
Bears RB Matt Forte: "He has not had a good start to the season. Normally he's a top five running back, but I don't like their matchup going up against the Jets in New York on Monday Night Football. How about what the Jets have done to running backs this year? They gave up 26 yards to the Raiders running backs in Week 1, and then they gave up 46 yards to Eddie Lacy and the Packers running backs in Week 2. The Jets defense has been good. Their corners aren't very good, but their run defense is elite. Terrible matchup for Forte."
