Rich Keefe's Fantasy Brief: Week 12 RB Start 'Em, Sit 'Em

BOSTON (CBS) - We're at a critical juncture of the fantasy season with the regular season nearing its end and playoffs approaching, so getting the right advice is paramount.

Well Rich Keefe has you covered!

Thursday night on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Keefe provided two running backs to start and two running backs to sit this week.

Start 'Em

Isaiah Crowell @ Atlanta

"This guy has been getting a bunch of carries the last couple of weeks. He had 12 against Cincinnati with a touchdown, plus 14 carries last week against Houston; he also started in that game. They've since gotten rid of Ben Tate. They still have Terrance West, but it seems like Isaiah Crowell has really come on. I just have a feeling that Crowell will continue to get double digit carries as the season goes on. Atlanta is terrible against the run. They gave up three touchdowns to Matt Asiata, Mark Ingram cut them up. They've gotten better as a run defense of late, but I still like Crowell's matchup a lot on Sunday."

C.J. Anderson vs. Miami

"Look at the injuries going on in Denver: Ronnie Hillman is out again, Montee Ball hasn't practiced, so C.J. Anderson should be getting a ton of the snaps. He's a good pass blocker as well, so he should be out there a lot. In PPR leagues he's even more valuable, but even in standard leagues he's gotten double digit points the last two weeks."

Sit 'Em

Joique Bell @ New England

"The Patriots have been good against running backs. I know a couple of games they've allowed a lot of rushing yards, like that New York Jets game for example. But look what they've done the last couple of weeks. I think if the Lions are going to score against the Patriots it's going to have to be Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate, maybe Reggie Bush out of the backfield. I don't see Joique Bell having a very good game. I wouldn't play him."

Frank Gore vs. Washington

"This is a guy you've probably started all year, but I don't like him this week. This is a guy who's had two 100-yard games this year. He was close to it last week. How many rushing touchdowns do you think he's had on the season through 10 games? He has two. Two rushing touchdowns on the entire season -- he may have a few receiving touchdowns, but just two rushing. He's going against a Washington team that's been very good against the run. The Redskins have only allowed four rushing touchdowns, and three of them were to Matt Asiata in Week 9. I don't know what the heck happened there. If you throw that one out that means they've only allowed one rushing touchdown in nine games. This would be one of the weeks where I sit Frank Gore."
