Revolutions' Lee Nguyen Named MLS Player Of The Month
BOSTON (CBS) -- After a five-goal outburst in October, New England Revolution midfielder Lee Nguyen has been named the MLS Player of the Month.
The MLS MVP candidate helped the Revs to a 3-0-1 record during the month, with two game-winning goals in New England's four games.
Nguyen claimed 47.08 percent of the votes from fans, besting Seattle's Obafemi Martins for the monthly award. This is Nguyen's first-ever MLS player of the month nod, and the Revolution's first since 2005 when Clint Dempsey won in April and Taylor Twellman won in September.

This might not be the only award Nguyen walks away with this season. The 28-year-old has emerged as one of the leading candidates for MLS MVP this season, scoring 18 goals and adding five assists for the Revs. He also led MLS with nine game-winning goals, the second-highest single-season total in league history.
