Report: Julian Edelman Battling Concussion

BOSTON (CBS) - Wide receiver Julian Edelman was a limited participant in practices last week leading up to the Patriots home game against the Dolphins with a thigh injury.

The sixth-year pro hauled in seven catches for 88 yards and also added a touchdown.

Edelman was again listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's practice, but this time he was listed with both a concussion and a thigh injury on the team's injury report.

Edelman will need to pass through the concussion protocol before he can play in Sunday's Week 16 tilt in New York against the Jets.

UPDATE:

The Patriots can clinch at least a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win in the Meadowlands.
