Report: Andre Johnson Wants Texans To Trade Him; Four Teams Already Interested

BOSTON (CBS) -- A whopper of a move could be upon us before training camps open, thanks to a veteran wide receiver wanting out of Houston.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Andre Johnson wants out of Houston. And as you might expect, it hasn't taken long for other teams to show their interest.

"He told them he wants to play for another team. Houston resisting," Rapoport tweeted. "Four teams have expressed interest in trading for #Texans WR Andre Johnson, who is working out now 'not thinking of the Texans,' source said."

According to Rapoport, much of the disagreement between Johnson and the team stems from $1 million in bonus money.

"Andre Johnson restructured his contract 3 times at the team's behest," Rapoport tweeted. "Wants same goodwill from #Texans for $1M bonus. Thinks he's earned it."

Johnson's desire to be traded isn't anything entirely new, as he skipped Houston's minicamp earlier this offseason. However, it seems as though things may be coming to a head.

HURLEY: Time Is Now For Patriots To Break Character And Acquire Andre Johnson

Asked just this week on NFL Network whether he'll play for the Texans next year, Johnson said, "I don't know. I can't answer that question."

As for the four teams interested, it's safe to expect that number to increase as this news spreads throughout the league.

Johnson, who turns 33 on Friday, caught 109 passes for 1,407 yards and five touchdowns last season when catching passes from the quarterback trio of Matt Schaub, T.J. Yates and Case Keenum.
