Rep. Joe Kennedy Expecting First Child

BOSTON (CBS) -- Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy III and his wife are expecting their first child.

The 34-year-old representative of the state's 4th congressional district said the baby girl is due in late December.

"We are so appreciative of all the support and well wishes we've received so far and can't wait to introduce her to Team Kennedy around the holidays," Kennedy said.

Kennedy was elected to Congress in 2012. He is the son of former U.S. Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy II.
