Prior to the workout several Sox players held scrums with the media. David Price held court as he continues to be the center of attention down here.
The $217-million dollar man is making a great first impression with the fans, the media, and most importantly his new teammates.
I asked Price about his Spring Training routine and he said it's changed over the years. Price said when he was young he used to go all out from the day he arrived, but has learned to ease into it.

You can tell Price is comfortable with where he is in his big league career, and why not? He's in his prime, feels good, and looks like he loves what he does.
Ask any player here about Price and the first thing they do is smile and say what a good teammate he is.
Today was a day to speak with the catchers. I caught up with Blake Swihart and Christian Vazquez, the team's young backstops.
Vazquez is coming off Tommy John surgery and says his goal is to be ready for Opening Day. He's going to start throwing to the bases today.

Swihart is coming off a season when he was thrown into the mix after Vazquez and Ryan Hanigan went down with injuries. He said he learned a lot, especially in the second half of the season.
It should be Swihart's job to lose coming out of camp with Hanigan backing up and Vazquez in Pawtucket.
We'll have much more on the Red Sox tonight at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. on the WBZ-TV news and on Sports Final Sunday night at 11:35 p.m.
