Raise Your Cup Of Joe And Celebrate: It's National Coffee Day
BOSTON (CBS) – For most Americans, every morning at least starts as coffee day with that wake-up mug.
But Monday java junkies can formally celebrate their caffeine addiction because this is National Coffee Day.
Coffee chains are using the annual event to promote their bean beverages and some are even giving it away.
Dunkin Donuts is serving up free medium cups of dark roast. And if you're willing to travel to find one, Krispy Kreme wants you to set up your work email to say you're temporarily away because you're sipping Krispy Kreme's free coffee.
McDonald's has been giving away free coffee during breakfast hours for the last couple weeks, leading up to National Coffee Day. Participating Starbucks celebrated by giving away free samples of their Anniversary Blend until noon.
