Powerball Jackpot Hits Record $700 Million; $1 Million Winner In Plymouth

BOSTON (CBS) — The Powerball jackpot jumped to a record $700 million Thursday morning after no one won Wednesday night's drawing.

The jackpot's new cash value is up to $428.4 million, with the next drawing coming Saturday night.  The previous high for a Powerball jackpot was the $590.5 million drawing won on May 18, 2013.

This jackpot has gone untouched for 18 consecutive drawings now.  It last hit on November 4.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared Wednesday's $528.5 million jackpot.

There was one Match 5 Power Play winner in New Mexico, which guarantees a $2 million prize.

There were several Match 5 winners, including one in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Those are worth $1 million each.

The Plymouth ticket was sold at the Express Mart on Court Street, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.

Here are Wednesday's winning numbers: 2-11-47-62-63, Powerball: 17, Power Play: 3.

Tickets for Powerball cost $2, and can be purchased at any Massachusetts Lottery retailer. For an additional $1, players can purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies any non-jackpot prize won on that ticket.

Saturday's drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m.
