Powerball jackpot grows to $653 million after no winner in latest drawing

BOSTON -- The Powerball jackpot has grown to $653 million after there was no winner in Monday night's drawing. The one-time cash option is now $350.5 million.

The winning numbers drawn Monday were 1, 4, 12, 36, 49 PowerBall 5. 

A ticket sold at a Cumberland Farms on Vineyard Haven won a $100,000 prize in Monday night's drawing, according to the Massachusetts Lottery.  A ticket sold at Wegmans in Chestnut Hill won a $50,000 prize. That Wegmans also sold a $1 million Mega Millions ticket last month.

This Powerball prize is the game's largest since November 7, when a record $2.04 billion jackpot ticket was sold in California.

Powerball tickets are $2 each and drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday night. 

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
