Police: Texting While Driving Causes N.H. Toll Booth Crash

BEDFORD, N.H. (CBS) – A New Hampshire man was cited following a toll booth crash that was determined to have been caused by texting while driving.

State police said that at about 11 a.m. on Saturday troopers were called to the Everett Turnpike on the northbound side in Bedford.

Police found that a Manchester, N.H., man came to a stop to pay a toll at the Bedford Toll Plaza.

A second car driven by another Manchester man crashed into the rear end of the first driver's Volkswagon Jetta.

Both cars were towed from the toll booth, though no one was hurt.

Troopers said both drivers were wearing their seatbelts, but they determined that the crash was caused by the second driver texting while driving. He was cited for the offense.
