Police Suspend Search For Woman Believed Missing In Jamaica Pond

BOSTON (CBS) – Police have suspended a search for a woman believed to have gone missing in Jamaica Pond Saturday night.

The woman was seen going into the pond about 7:30 Saturday night by witnesses who lost sight of her and then did not see her surface.

Witnesses told police the woman was naked when she walked into the pond near the Brookline town line.

Dive teams, police boats and emergency crews searched the area using sonar equipment but they were unable to find her and cleared the scene around 11 p.m. Saturday.

Boston police told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 the search was called off about 3:30 Sunday morning with no trace of the woman.
