Police Say Shoplifting Suspect In Braintree Hit Officer With Car During Getaway

BRAINTREE (CBS) -- A shoplifting suspect fleeing the scene hit a police officer with the car they were driving, according to Braintree police.
Just before 7 p.m. at South Shore Plaza, an officer was following the suspect to the parking garage where they got in a car, police said.
They said the suspect knocked the officer down with their car while making a getaway.
Police said the officer only suffered minor injuries. The suspect has not yet been caught.
