Heavy Police Presence Outside Malls After Social Media Posts About Looting
NATICK (CBS) - There was a heavy police presence at malls in the Boston area after social media posts called for looting.
Dozens of officers patrolled outside of the Natick Mall Monday night. They said they were concerned about a group of vehicles parked in the lot, but no specific threats were made.
There is currently an active incident in the area of the Natick Mall. We ask that you use caution while traveling in the area or avoid the area if possible.

Police were spotted patrolling several other shopping areas late Monday, including the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Assembly Row in Somerville, Fresh Pond Mall in Cambridge and South Bay Center in Dorchester.
Due to social media posts planning to loot the South Shore Plaza, a heavy police presence was shown today and will continue this evening. The mall is now closed. Anyone on the property without a legitimate reason will be asked to leave & possible tresspass. Do not come down here

The extra patrols came a day after businesses were looted in Boston.
