Police: Maine Harbor Seal Stuck In Snowbank Rescued

WELLS, Maine (CBS) - A Maine harbor seal stuck in a snowbank was rescued on Sunday, police say.

The seal was freed from the snowbank after receiving some assistance, according to the Wells Maine police Facebook page.

"A great day to visit Wells Harbor! A bad day to get stuck in a snowbank," reads the Facebook post. "Marine Mammals of Maine responded and helped this lil guy get back into the water!"

Video captured by police show the mammal being encouraged toward the water before it swam away.
