Brent Justice Roman-Finnagan arrested, charged with shooting mother and her friend in Lexington
LEXINGTON - A man was arrested after police said he shot his mother and her friend Friday afternoon in Lexington.
It happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the home on Keeler Farm way, where Brent Justice Roman-Finnagan, 22, lived with his 57-year-old mother.
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan said Roman-Finnagan shot his mother and her 55-year-old friend with a gun he had illegally purchased and had been keeping in his room.
Roman-Finnegan was arrested after the shooting as police arrived at the scene.
His mother and her friend were taken to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition. Roman-Finnegan was also taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation but has since been released and remains in custody.
Roman-Finnegan faces several charges, including two counts of armed assault with intent to murder. He's due in court on Monday.
